Heatherlea - Kirkwall

Staying at Heatherlea Bed & Breakfast was good. The room had a comfortable double bed, immaculate bathroom, and fine views of Kirkwall and the harbour. Amenities such as USB charging points and tea/coffee facilities added a personal touch. Breakfast choices were extensive and delicious, with options catering to special diets. The hosts were cute. Debbie even helped plan parts of my trip. Only downside was that a more powerful shower would have been nice, especially after a day exploring. The location was perfect, just a short walk to town.

A nice size and well-organised unit with a large mirror and fridge. Best possible setting, near all shops, pretty Kirkwall and buses restaurants, shopping and St Magnus and the Earl's and Bishops palaces.

Heatherlea Bed & Breakfast offers a lovely comfortable stay with a stylish double bed and an immaculate bathroom. The breakfast is excellent with plenty of choices, and fine views over Kirkwall and the harbour enhance the experience. The proprietors are great. The location is ideally situated for exploring the town.

A mini fridge in the room would have been a valuable addition.

Really good comfort in a charming town

The hosts, Debbie and Bruce, go above and beyond to ensure a good stay. The breakfast options catered to all tastes and the attention to detail was excellent. I loved the cozy atmosphere, especially while sipping coffee in the bright breakfast room overlooking the harbour.

While my room was lovely, I did find the lack of a mini fridge a tad inconvenient, especially during the cooler, windy days of my visit. The experience overall was far from diminished.

The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast was spot on with so many options to choose from! I really enjoyed chilling in the cozy common area and relaxing in the lovely garden after a day out. I did notice the WiFi could be a bit spotty at times, but it didn't take away from my stay overall. 😊

Just a fitting option for a city break in Kirkwall with value for money. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. Make sure to try out the breakfast. It's a highlight.

We enjoyed exploring the Neolithic sites and local landscapes, plus, the breakfast had loads of choices that catered to everyone. The atmosphere was cozy, and the hosts. Perfect location for hitting up nearby attractions too!

The only downside was the lack of a mini fridge in the room, which would have been helpful for keeping drinks cool .

We enjoyed exploring Kirkwall's charming streets, and the cozy atmosphere at the B&B. The breakfast spread was superb, with plenty of choices that even catered to our small baby!

My children wished for a play area outside.
